Past Lions players Des Headland and Ash McGrath represent their journeys across the design of the Brisbane Lions 2023 Indigenous Guernsey. The left side illustrates Des’ journey with designs representing where his journey began, in Merridan along with his family. The right hand side is dedicated to Ash McGrath with a U symbol representing his brothers and parents. The centre of the guernsey represents the Brisbane Lions Football Club the players are represented through the 18 symbols surrounding the circle which represents the Gabba.
