Created by Warumungu and Yawuru artist David Roe (Roey), the 2025 Melbourne Storm Indigenous Jersey is a deeply personal tribute to culture, connection, and legacy. Its design maps the journeys of Indigenous players from across the country to AAMI Park on Wurundjeri Country, symbolised through meeting places and journey lines. Five turtles, representing Roey’s family and the strength of generational ties, sit at the heart of the artwork. A horseshoe motif and fish trap design honour the contributions of past Storm players, including the club’s first Indigenous player, Peter Robinson.
